The AIRSTAR labyrinth ventilation system is used as a high-performance ventilator in hot and noisy heavy industrial applications where high-volume, rain-proof and energy-free ventilation is required, and is also compliant with additional noise insulation regulations if required. AIRSTAR uses the pressure and temperature difference caused by the thermal load inside the building to create a natural ventilation.

The aerodynamically highly efficient ventilation louver-wing shape with raised edges in the center and on the upward-facing facade provides uninterrupted foul-weather ventilation. Water accumulated inside the ventilation louvers is directed into two drainage channels located on the longitudinal edge of the unit and discharged onto the roof.
The rain drainage channels consist of wind deflector plates, which significantly improve the performance of the ventilation system when the wind enters.
To save energy when closed, the ventilation louvers (optional) can be closed by means of a locking mechanism.
Nylon brushes (optional) on the locking mechanism increase the sealing effect.
By removing the wind deflector plates, the ventilation louvers are easily accessible and the louvers can be easily cleaned.
Due to the flat design and the resulting low windward area, building substructures can be minimized.
